Welcome to the Academy of Early Learning
Home of the Early Birds – “The Happiest Place on Earth to Learn!”

My name is Kiara C. Jenkins, and I am honored to serve as the principal of the Academy of Early Learning for the 2025–2026 school year. With 12 years of experience in education in Marion County, as a kindergarten teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, I’ve seen firsthand that strong relationships are the foundation of a successful learning experience. My goal is to build meaningful connections with our students, staff, families, and the community to support every child’s growth.

This year, our school vision is: “Every Early Bird Takes Flight.” We are committed to helping each student grow academically, socially, and emotionally by at least one year through high-quality instruction and a nurturing school environment.

I’m originally from Orangeburg, SC, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University. My passion is seeing the students' excitement when they master a new skill. I believe my purpose is to support and develop teachers so that they can provide a strong foundation for the success of all students.

I look forward to working together to make this school year a wonderful one for our Early Birds!
